- Description: 1-story frame with lap siding; gable composition roof; shed porch upheld by wood posts; windows are 4/4 double-hung; garage at rear; enclosed by chain link fence; rectangular plan.
- Significance: Good example of worker housing associated with the Angelina County Lumber Milt and the company town of Keltys. Described by Lita Mayberry as in an area of “C houses,” often called ‘the old mill houses.’ They had four to six rooms, large porches, and small fenced yards. Usually, they lacked garages and were furnished only with electrical and water connections.” Nominated to the National Register. The significance is industry and black ethnic culture.
