- Description: 1-1/2 story frame with drop siding; massed plan; composition gable roof pierced by interior chimney stack and dornical extended eaves and knee braces; projecting porch is screened and supported by large brick piers; windows are 9/1, 6/1, 12/1, wood double-hung with hood molds; entry door is multiple beveled lights; brick pier foundation.
- Significance: Good example of style. One or two similar residences owned by the Kennedy brothers across the street from one another. This is the older of the two; remodeled to resemble 603 E. Groesbeck. R. A. Kennedy owned and operated the Lufkin Steam Laundry. It is nominated to the National Register. The significance is in the areas of commerce and architecture.
