- Description: 1-story frame with drop siding; gable composition roof with extended rafter ends and knee braces; windows are 9/1 wood double-hung with hood molds and decorative surrounds; large exterior brick chimney on west facade; projecting porch supported by large brick columns. The residence is said to have cost $6,000 when constructed. Interior has beaded ceiling and pine floors; walls have been paneled and some ceilings have drop ceilings, however, these changes are minimal and reversible; original tile bathroom is intact.
- Significance: Good example of style. One of two similar residences owned by the Kennedy brothers, across the street from another. A. C. Kennedy was a partner in Kennedy’s Jewelry Store in downtown Lufkin. It is nominated to the National Register. The significance is in the areas of architecture and commerce.
