- Description: 1-story; log structure, logs dressed on all four sides, V-groove joinery; log sill on rock foundation; one pen , rectangular plan with central door, small porch on north with vertical board siding on exterior, porch along front – shed roof with 2 x 4 supports; side-facing gable roof with galvanized metal roofing; board and batten weather boarding at gable ends; two small windows on west end; closed opening.
- Significance: Early log house, perhaps oldest extant house in county; Havard family were farmers; house said to be the last one on the road to the Neches River. Is currently a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. There are currently plans to move the structure to the Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin.
