- Description: 1-story; wood frame with beveled wood siding; pier foundation; central hall H-plan; intersecting hip and gable roofs, composition shingles, cornice returns, interior brick chimneys; inset porch with flat roof, deep entablature, paired boxed wood columns with lattice infill, wood railing; central entry door – wood-paneled with upper glass, side lights and transom with hood mold, French doors on west; windows – 1/1 wood double-hung with hood mold, on east and west projecting bays, windows in a Palladian motif of 9/9, 12/12, 9/9 with central arched sunburst.
- Significance: Remodeled by Shirley Simons to add Classical details. Residence of James A. and Mary Elizabeth Glass Cox in the 1937 city directory. Cox was a registered druggist and proprietor of Glass and Cox Drug Store in downtown Lufkin for many years. Nominated to the National Register. The significance is architecture.
