- Description: 3-story masonry rectangular building with three bays; first floor is heavily altered with applied ceramic tile and classical columns; second and third floors have red brick facade, carved limestone string course and parapet with classical urns; limestone reads “Lufkin National Bank”; windows replaced with awning style on west and south facade; four modillions above first floor.
- Significance: The 1904 (Sheet 2) and 1908 Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps (Sheet 3) show 2 brick structures, 2 stories, occupied by a dry goods store and a bank; the current structure was built between 1920 and 1924 and was described as fireproof; in 1928 Shirley Simon had his architecture office on the second floor.
