- Description: 3-story masonry brick veneer with cast concrete ornamentation; entry has classical pediment with paired pilasters and ornamental lamps; medallions are in sunflower and garland motifs; string courses above basement and third story; connected to auditorium on the west and church building on the east; windows are steel casement.
- Significance: Organized on July 15, 1885. The Educational Building was constructed in 1951, the architect was Melvin J. Gates, the contractor was Temple Association. It was done in the same Federal style. [2014 Note: Colonial Revival Style. See 1922 Sheet 4 Sanborn Map for Lufkin]
