  • Description: 1-story frame with T-plan; composition gable roof; projecting porch supported by wood posts; windows are 6/6 wood double-hung; extended rafter ends; pier and beam foundation.
  • Significance:  The church was established on Monday, the third Sabbath in October 1871, when several members from Lambert’s Chapel Baptist Church petitioned the church for permission to form another church.  There was also a one-teacher school in the same building; it was moved to Diboll ca. 1950.  This is the third church building.  Pastors who served here were Bro. (Parson) C. B. George, 25 years, and Bro. O. P. Meadows, 15 years.  The site is currently a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.  [1986 Notes:  Original Use:  School; Present Use:  Church]
