  • Description: 2-story; wood frame with lapped horizontal board siding; brick pier foundation; rectangular plan; 3-bay facade with symmetrical placement of windows, paired blind pilasters with fluted pedestals; side-facing gable roof with three gabled dormers, wood shingles, cornice returns; centered classical entry with sidelights; 8/8, 6/6 wood double-hung windows with keyed hood mold above and faceted panel below the first floor windows, wood shutters; bedroom suite addition at rear; exterior brick chimney and glassed sun room on southeast; attached garage and guest house at rear.
  • Significance:  Good example of style; architect Wilbur Kent worked for Shirley Simons, architect in Lufkin and Tyler; Kent & Coston architects are now Marsellos & Scott architects.
