  • Description: 1-1/2 story; wood frame with horizontal board siding; brick foundation; irregular plan with projecting bay on south and east; steep hip roof with intersecting gables, composition shingles, pedimented gable ends with bargeboards; interior brick chimney; wraparound gallery porch with cylindrical Doric columns, one entry door with large rectangular glass, side lights and transom light; 1/1 wood double-hung windows with flat pedimented hood mold, Queen Anne fixed window at gable ends; large sycamore tree in yard; white picket fence on east part of yard.
  • Significance:  The 1928 directory list W. C. Binion as living at 206 Mantooth and as Vice-President of Watford Binion Printing Company. The 1937 directory lists W.C. and Made P. Binion at 404 Mantooth; he was the U. S. Postmaster. The different addresses can probably be attributed to a large scale address change throughout the city between 1928 and 1937, noted in the directories. It is nominated to the National Register. The significance is architecture.
