Description: 1-story; wood frame with asbestos siding; brick foundation; rectangular plan with inset porch; intersecting gable roofs with brackets, deep eaves, sunburst muntin patterned window flanked by louvers at each gable end; entry porch with flattened arch opening, battered boxed wood columns rest on brick piers, wood panel entry door with three glass lights flanked by single windows, hood mold above; windows are wood double-hung with upper sash divided into 4/2, lower sash with a single pane of glass; hood molds over windows; detached garage at rear.
Significance: Site of Governor Allan Shivers birthplace, RTHL Marker (1971), original house razed.
