  • Description: 2-story masonry with rectangular plan, brick facade has ornamental patterns and string course; modern plate glass and aluminum storefront, depending aluminum awning and awning lights filled in; three bays articulated by three 12/1 wood double-hung windows.  [1986 Note:  Original Use:  Retail; Present Use:  Vacant]
  • Significance:  The 1908 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map (Sheet 3) shows a 2-story brick structure used as a furniture store.  In 1928 the City Directory lists the structure as the Fairchild Building, Herrinton Drug Store was on the first floor, and L. D. Fairchild and John S. Reditt, lawyers, were on the second floor.
